Assistant Director of Safety, Advanced Division – Butch Daniel
The Assistant Director of Safety for Advanced Division manages the Safety Program for Advanced Flight Training including flight and ground operations. He is directly responsible to the Director of Safety for instilling safety awareness in all division employees and ensuring that the work force has a safe and healthy working environment.
Using the Army’s model for composite risk management, he performs continuous trend analysis to identify areas of interest and recommended courses of action. He is the safety subject matter expert and advises and assists the Division Director in all matters concerning the safety of division personnel, property and equipment.
Mr. Daniel has been with the flight training contract since June 2008. Mr. Daniel entered military service in July 1971 and retired from the U.S. Army in June 2008. He served as a Master Army Aviator, Standardization Instructor Pilot, Instrument Flight Examiner, Night Vision Goggle Instructor Pilot, Personnel Recovery Officer and Aviation Safety Officer. He has over 4,500 hours of flight experience and more than 15 years experience in aviation and industrial safety management.
